Learn how to manipulate molten glass into beautiful and original paperweights and drinking tumbler with our experienced glassblower.

This one-day workshop offers a fantastic opportunity to discover traditional Venetian techniques used in hot glass studios. With no experience necessary, the workshop is a perfect introduction into the world of glass blowing.

The course covers equipment, tools, OH&S and proper working procedures used in the glassblowing studio. Gathering, marvering and shaping of molten glass, and correct tool usage will be taught and demonstrated. Colour-application techniques will also be introduced with participants choosing and applying their own colour combinations. All materials, tools and glass are provided. Over the duration of the workshop participants will have the opportunity to complete 2 individual paperweights and a tumbler that will be available to take home the following week.

Class Duration: Arrive 9.15am for a 9.30 start. Finish 4.00pm approx..

Cost: $440 pp Full payment at time of booking.

Other essentials:

  • Max 4 ppl per class.

  • BYO Lunch & Drinks - Coffee, Tea; Equipment Provided.

  • Wear loose comfortable clothes, covered in shoes & long hair tied back.

Cancellations, Refunds, Rescheduling:

  • 2 weeks prior to scheduled workshop – a 50% refund issued on cancellation.

  • No refund well be issued 48 prior to commencement of booked workshop.

  • If class number of participants is not met 48 hours before it is due to start, we will contact you to reschedule your class.
