Kevin Gordon creates complex glass vessels that exemplify his technical command of traditional glassmaking processes. Over-laid colour blown glass is decorated through engraving, sand-blasting and lathe cutting before being brought back to a high polish through hand and fire polishing.
Octopus’s Garden has a flattened, polished face which creates a fisheye viewing experience of the engravings on the other side of the piece, a unique and dynamic element created specifically for this scene.
